La Hechicera is an ‘unpolished’ rum retaining the genuine qualities of the noble wood it which it was aged. Unlike some lesser rums that are softened with sugar or other more unsavoury additives, La Hachicera’s attitude has been crafted by time, its smoothness mellowing over the decades. The process is true to the traditional way of making rum and does not require any polishing or ‘nishing’ to make it more palatable; any additive would only obscure its innate brilliance.

Exhibiting a deep woodiness with characterful notes of things Colombian; the heady scent of toffee and orange peel on the nose followed by a bold burst of flavour on the palate with distinctive notes of tobacco and roasted coffee. Its ending is crisp and smooth. This a rum best paired with a hand-rolled cigar, a handlebar moustache and a pair of Cuban heels.
