Giuseppe Giusti Aceto Balsamico
Many people make and sell so-called balsamic vinegar, most are cheap and artificially coloured and thickened. The real, mouth wateringly good ones are incomparable, thanks to the superior production methods and lengthy ageing process undertaken they are a world apart from their imposters. A condiment for ‘finishing’, drizzling over grilled meat, cheese, salad leaves even over a fine gelato!
Seventeen generations of the Giusti family have been producing balsamic in their hometown of Modena since 1605. They are the authors of the first documented recipe for the production of balsamic and are the custodians of the most extraordinary existing cask reserve, composed of invaluable century old barrels. Such a long and rich history is demonstrably evident in their product.
