Mak Tok Pineapple Relish
Pineapple relish was kind of an accidental discovery for the Mak Tok family. Pineapple was subbed in for ketchup in a sweet and sour dish, and the result was the nothing short of delish! The natural tang and sweetness from the lush pineapple bits in this relish make it an excellent dip for fritters, in a stir fry with some vegetables, or as a delicious base for drinks.
Mak Tok was born of two international students' yearning for home-cooked Malaysian cuisine, and a desire to share the rich, spicy, mouth-watering flavours from their home with the world. Mak Tok is Malay for Grandmother, and it is with their Mak Toks' tried and tested recipes that these students, turned entrepreneurs began their business bringing ultra-authentic Malaysian chilli pastes to you.
