Michael Hall ‘Sang De Pigeon’ Blanc 2019
"This wine is something else. Of all the wines I've tasted from The Barossa, this is head and shoulders above the rest. An incredible white." - Mark Chan, Operations Director, Feather & Bone
It's fresh yet textural, a perfect wine to accompany fresh seafood on a warm afternoon. It is Michael Hall's precise and methodical approach to winemaking which has made him stand out in the crowd of Barossa Valley winemakers. A focus on small, unique vineyards that produce high-quality fruit. No shortcuts in the winery and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Michael Hall produces 'slow wines', wines that he terms 'thoughtfully-produced wines, which provoke thought. Rather than moulding the fruit to a style, Hall aims to passively craft wines with as few material inputs as possible: hand picking, maceration, wild yeasts, lees contact, barrel maturation and no filtration. Allowing the season and site to show themselves.
