Sausage Rolls with Tomato & Chilli Jam
Our sausage roll made its debut on our menu towards the end of last year and it is not going anywhere. Minced free-range pork belly seasoned with sage and wrapped in flaky puff pastry, what’s not to love? Worlds away from the salty, flavourless offerings you can find in the freezer section, these hand made beauties will have considering a second one before the first is even half gone! And all that richness is best cut with a little zing, so we've included a generous dollop of our house-made tomato and chilli jam too.
Best reheated in the oven, 12 minutes at 180 and you’re golden! Remove the plastic wrap but leave them in their tray, it's fine in both the microwave and oven. But the microwave as a last resort. Chilli jam is fine cold. Oh, and grab a beer. Go for Gweilo IPA. That'll sort you out.
