These duck breasts are ready to cook and pack a good dose of protein and iron. Some of you may be slightly intimidated by cooking duck, but let us assist. Here are some simple steps to follow:
1) Heat an ovenproof frying pan to a medium and preheat oven to 190°C.
2) Pat-dry duck breasts and score skin in a crisscross pattern. Lightly season the skin with some salt. We recommend Olsson’s Sea Salt.
3) Place in pre-heated frying pan (skin-side down), without foil for about 5 minutes or until skin reaches a nice golden colour. Turn over and cook for another 2 minutes.
4) Remove from heat and place in pre-heated oven for a another 8 - 10 minutes.
5) Always let it rest before slicing and serving, 5 - 10 minutes will do!
Tip: use the fat to toss through roast potatoes - divine.
