On the palate, this wine is rich and velvety with flavors of wild blackberries and smoky biscuit dough. The tannins are broad, ripe, and generous, yet the finish is fresh, lingering, and leaves the impression of dark chocolate and rhubarb compote.
Grapes for this Shiraz are sourced from our growers in the Barossa Valley. The well-ripened grapes are carefully de-stemmed and crushed to fermenters where they are macerated in a way to minimize extraction of hard tannins. All provide a rich and generous nose and mouthfeel. This is achieved with less vigorous maceration and lower fermentation temperatures.
