Garlic (one bulb)
With its unique flavour, there is nothing that can replace garlic. Pungent and peppery when raw, sweet-savoury and warming when cooked, garlic has wide ranging culinary applications.
Our favourite way to eat garlic is simply to break apart the cloves, leave the paper on and scatter them on the bottom of a roasting tray beneath a joint of meat. After the meat is done the cloves are like sweet little candies that can be squeezed into your mouth!
